Job Summary :
We are looking for an experienced Splunk Engineer to design, implement, maintain, and support enterprise log monitoring and data analysis services using Splunk. The role will be responsible for developing log and data mining solutions, creating dashboards and reports, maintaining Splunk configurations, and supporting internal users with monitoring and analysis requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
• Design and build new log monitoring and data mining services using Splunk.
• Plan and support the implementation and deployment of Splunk-based monitoring solutions.
• Perform data mining, log analysis, and troubleshooting using Splunk queries and reporting methods.
• Develop and maintain production-quality Splunk dashboards, reports, and visualizations.
• Support internal users in designing dashboards and reports according to business and technical requirements.
• Take ownership of Splunk-based log and data mining services and ensure their reliability and performance.
• Configure and maintain Splunk applications, configuration files, searches, dashboards, and related components.
• Monitor system and application logs and identify errors, anomalies, and potential issues.
• Work with other departments and technical teams on matters related to log monitoring, analysis, and observability.
• Troubleshoot Splunk-related issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Support onboarding of new log sources and ensure appropriate monitoring and data visibility.
• Maintain documentation for Splunk configurations, dashboards, data sources, and operational procedures.
• Follow security, access control, and operational standards for Splunk environments.
• Continuously improve log monitoring, data analysis, and reporting capabilities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience working with Splunk in an enterprise environment.
• Strong knowledge of Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL).
• Experience developing Splunk dashboards, reports, alerts, and visualizations.
• Experience with log monitoring, data mining, and log analysis.
• Good understanding of Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience editing and maintaining Splunk configuration files and applications.
• Experience onboarding and managing different log/data sources.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Good understanding of system, application, and infrastructure logs.
