Job Summary
The Purchasing & Supply Chain Supervisor is responsible for supervising procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain activities to ensure the timely and cost-effective availability of medical and non-medical supplies. The role oversees daily purchasing operations, supplier coordination, stock availability, and compliance with hospital procurement policies and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Supervise daily purchasing and supply chain activities, including procurement, purchase orders, inventory control, and supplier coordination
• Review purchase requests, obtain quotations, evaluate suppliers, and ensure timely procurement of medical and non-medical supplies
• Monitor stock levels, consumption trends, delivery schedules, and inventory requirements to prevent shortages and operational disruptions
• Coordinate with Warehouse, Pharmacy, Nursing, Finance, and other hospital departments to ensure efficient supply planning and distribution
• Monitor supplier performance, pricing, contract compliance, and procurement costs to identify opportunities for savings and operational improvement
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
• 3+ years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, or inventory management
• Healthcare or hospital purchasing and supply chain experience is strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, supplier management, inventory control, and purchase order management
• Experience with ERP systems is an advantage
