Role Overview:
Seeking an experienced Linux Systems Engineer to support Linux infrastructure and VDI platforms in a scientific computing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L2/L3 Linux support, troubleshooting, patching and OS hardening.
Manage Ubuntu LTS and Rocky Linux environments, including NVIDIA GPU-enabled systems.
Maintain automation and configuration management using Ansible, Puppet and Automox.
Support scientific software, Lmod/Environment Modules and dependency management.
Troubleshoot NFS/SMB storage, Docker containers and VDI environments.
Support SLURM, AWS DCV and Kasm Workspaces is good to have
Perform vulnerability management, performance tuning and root cause analysis.
Mandatory Skills:
Linux administration (Ubuntu LTS and Rocky Linux).
Hands-on NVIDIA GPU infrastructure management.
Scientific computing and environment module management.
Ansible, Puppet, Automox and GitLab CI/CD.
Good to have Bash/Python scripting and infrastructure automation.
NFS/SMB storage support.
Willingness to provide on-site infrastructure support.
