We Are Hiring | Chief Accountant – Contracting Company
We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to oversee accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and strengthen financial controls within a contracting company.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise daily accounting operations and maintain accurate financial
records.
* Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and management reports.
* Oversee project accounting, cost allocation, and Work in Progress (WIP).
* Monitor project budgets, actual costs, and cost variances.
* Manage subcontractor accounts, progress payments, advance payments, and retention amounts.
* Lead monthly and year-end closing processes and account reconciliations.
* Ensure compliance with IFRS, VAT, and ZATCA regulations.
* Coordinate with external auditors and support financial audits.
* Develop accounting procedures and strengthen internal controls.
* Supervise and develop the accounting team.
Qualifications & Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 10+ years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a contracting company.
* Proven experience in project accounting, WIP, subcontractor payments, and retention management.
* Strong knowledge of IFRS and Saudi tax regulations.
* Proficiency in ERP systems (Odoo preferred) and advanced Excel.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills.
* Ability to manage accounting operations independently and meet reporting deadlines.
