We are seeking a Project Manager for an AI-Native Trade Finance Implementation
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project delivery, coordinating stakeholders across the bank, technology vendor, and implementation teams to ensure successful deployment of a modern, AI-enabled Trade Finance solution.
You will bring strong banking technology implementation experience, excellent stakeholder management capabilities, and familiarity with the Middle East banking environment. Experience delivering Trade Finance transformation projects will be a significant advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Delivery
• Own and manage end-to-end project implementation, including planning, execution, monitoring, and go-live.
• Develop and maintain project plans, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, and resource allocation.
• Manage project scope, timelines, risks, issues, and change requests.
• Coordinate requirements gathering, solution design, development, integration, testing, UAT, and production deployment.
• Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards, timelines, and contractual commitments.
2. Stakeholder and Vendor Management
• Act as the primary coordination point between the client, the technology vendor (us) , and other implementation partners.
• Facilitate project governance meetings, steering committee updates, and stakeholder workshops.
• Manage expectations across business, operations, IT, compliance, and management teams.
• Drive timely decision-making and issue resolution across multiple stakeholders.
• Maintain effective communications with both technical and non-technical audiences.
3. Banking Technology Implementation
• Coordinate integration activities involving core banking systems, Trade Finance platforms, payment systems, and other enterprise applications.
• Oversee implementation activities involving AI-enabled workflows, automation, and digital banking capabilities.
• Ensure appropriate coordination of security, data privacy, regulatory, and technology governance requirements.
• Support deployment planning, operational readiness, training, and transition to business-as-usual operations.
4. Testing, Risk, and Change Management
• Coordinate system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), defect resolution, and deployment readiness.
• Maintain project RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
• Manage change control, escalation processes, and implementation risks.
• Track project progress, prepare management reports, and ensure timely escalation of delivery challenges.
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Minimum 6 years of experience in project management, preferably within banking, financial services, or FinTech.
• Demonstrated experience delivering banking technology implementation or digital transformation projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches.
• Proven ability to manage complex projects involving multiple business and technology stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating technology vendors and enterprise system integrations.
• Strong communication, leadership, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
Preferred Qualifications
• Arabic-speaking, with strong professional communication skills in English.
• Prior experience working with banks or financial institutions in the Middle East / GCC region.
• Experience working on both the bank/client side and technology vendor/implementation partner side.
• Experience delivering Trade Finance systems, platforms, or transformation projects.
• Familiarity with Trade Finance products such as Letters of Credit, Bank Guarantees, Documentary Collections, and Supply Chain Finance.
• Exposure to AI-driven banking platforms, intelligent document processing, workflow automation, or AI-enabled enterprise solutions.
• PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or Scrum certification.
Ideal Candidate Profile
A delivery-oriented Project Manager who understands banking environments, can navigate complex bank-vendor relationships, and has successfully delivered financial technology projects. The candidate should be comfortable working with both traditional banking systems and emerging AI-native technologies, with strong execution discipline and stakeholder management capabilities.
